A few years ago I made my Star Wars mad son an Ewok amigurumi, Wicket to be precise. I posted it up on Craftster, and even managed to write a tutorial on how to make it. It was fairly rough, so in an attempt to practice my pattern-writing skills and try out making PDFs (in the hope that I will be able to put some of my patterns on Etsy) I now present the latest updated version:

**Edited to add**
I know the link above can be a bit unreliable, so I've now also put up a recently updated version of the pattern as a download in my Ravelry store: http://www.ravelry.com/stores/lucy-ravenscar-designs
Howdy LucyRavenscar, we have four of your patterns listed at Ravelry.com with different designer names. The two Totoros are attributed to Heavens Hellcat and the Dragon and Ewok are attributed to Angry Angel. Of course, you also use LucyRavenscar.
ReplyDeleteUnder which name would you like your designs attributed? We would like to use one name and alias the others.
Or, join us at www.Ravelry.com and get linked as a designer.
Thanks,
papertole
Hi, could you use LucyRavenscar please? That would be great. It's so awkward when you end up with loads of different names!
ReplyDeleteI really must get more active on Ravelry, I haven't quite got the hang of it yet.
Sounds great - LucyRavenscar it is.
ReplyDeleteOh, so you are on Ravelry. Great!. If you need any help with anything, I hang out on the Help group and Ravelry Editors and For The Love Of Ravelry. I use the same name here as I do there.
I love him and I must make one for myself (selfish yes, but if it works I think an army of ewoks will be under the xmas tree this year :)
ReplyDeleteHI love your Ami's ! Ewoks are my daughter fav wondering if I could buy one from you or the pattern if you sell it!
ReplyDeletePlease, pdf fail... send me for e-mail????

XOXO
I've just checked the PDF link and it does work, so if anyone ever has problems, just try again later. Nane, I've emailed to you anyway.
ReplyDeletePDF fail for me too :(
ReplyDeleteHi Crystal, I don't know why it doesn't work sometimes, but I just checked it and it seems okay. Keep trying, and you should be able to download it.
ReplyDeleteI managed alright.
ReplyDeleteHi, I don't know if you still monitor this site anymore but I cam across this great Ewok you made and of course I can't get the PDF download to work again. Could you e-mail it to me if possible? thanks, dlt@neoucom.edu
ReplyDeleteHi Anon, it's working just fine now, try it again. I've also put it up as a download in my Ravelry store: http://www.ravelry.com/stores/lucy-ravenscar-designs
ReplyDeleteHey, sorry to be an inconvenience, but the pattern link is not working from here or Ravelry. Could you possibly email it to me? Thanks! (ayellowrose@adelphia.net)

thank you for the pattern!
Thank you, your Wicket looks sweet! I agree, when you've just made the feet and joined them together, they do have cute little butts!
ReplyDeleteThe link is not working for me. Could you email it to me? BJLindsayGa@hotmail.com Thank you so much.
ReplyDeletehello, first thanks for the input.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your employer and do not understand the acronyms FO, I could clarify, thank you very much
Thanks eva.
ReplyDeleteFO means fasten off. When you finish a part, you cut the yarn and pull it through the loop on the hook.
Hi, The PDF says it's not supported anymore x_x Could you please e-mail me the pattern? That'd be amazing! Thanks a lot!:D ==>

I can't seem to get the PDF or the link to work. Any way to email me the pattern? Please. Thank you! gracemj37@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI've updated the link so it should work now, but I'll email it to you anyway.
ReplyDeleteI can't figure out the fingers, unless I'm counting wrong there are 6 stitches in only the base of five? Chain five, skip first 2 chs then the Bob st and SC in the chain after, so that's 4 out of the original five... and I still need to do it two more times? Am I reading this wrong?
ReplyDeleteYou do a bobble and an sc in one chain, so out of the 5 ch, 2 are just a turning chain, then you do two stitches into each of the remaining three chain, making six stitches in all. If you find that very fiddly, try making the chain a bit looser, or use a larger hook to make it.
ReplyDeleteHi Lucy, i love your pattern for wicket thanks! I was wondering if you give permission to sell the finished wicket or other items made from your free patterns and to credit you as the pattern designer?
ReplyDeleteThanks! Personally, I don't mind people making and selling toys made from my patterns, as long as they credit me, as you said.
ReplyDeleteThankyou very much ☺
ReplyDeleteI just love you evoke pattern. I wonder if you can clarify the feet part. It says to sc 3 rounds on 15 sts but then it says on row 6 to increase
ReplyDeleteI have checked the pattern and the numbering of the rounds for the feet and body was wrong. I have now corrected this and uploaded the new version.
ReplyDeleteLucy I am having trouble figuring out how to piece the hood.....any suggestions
ReplyDeleteSusie, which part are you having problems with exactly? How much have you made so far?
ReplyDeleteHey! Idk if you are still active in here but I have a question about the feet part after doing the popcorn stitch of the toes it says this, (partial round) [3 dc pop in next st, sc in next st] 3 times.
ReplyDeleteChange to brown yarn and reset the start of the round.
Round 4: [sc2tog] 9 times, sc in next 6 st - 15 st. So I do what you have written down I assumed the 9 sc2tog is for the back of the foot and then I do the 6 sc which covers one toe but I still have some stitches that need to be worked in. Am I doing something wrong?
I realized what I was doing wrong but thanks anyway!
