Star Wars Even More Crochet

I finished work on all my patterns for the new Star Wars Crochet book a little while ago, but I've now been given the publication date. Star Wars Even More Crochet will be available (in the US at least) in March 2017. I know that seems a long way away, but it takes that long to produce.

The book is part of a kit that will include all the materials and the patterns to make a Jawa and BB-8, and the patterns for Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Kylo Ren, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Lando Calrissian, Admiral Ackbar, Nien Nunb, Greedo and the Cantina Band.

Great to see it is ready and will be out soon. I will have to buy it too. My nephews love the Yoda.

That are great news, although I am still kept busy by the first book. Right now I am wondering if "Rnd 27: in BLO, ..." means BLO for the whole round or until the next period. Maybe it's just me, or maybe the next book can be more precise.

OMG!!!!! Can't wait!!!!!!

Thanks everyone!

Hans-Jörg - if it says BLO at the start of the round then it's for the whole round, unless it says otherwise during the round.

I've made all of the characters in the first book at least 3 times each! I can't wait for book 2!

Yay! My poor lonely Poe needs a BB-8!

Thank you Lucy for the quick response. Now I can continue Christmas mass production. (I still hate the sewing, but I am getting used to.)

I am so excited about this. I just have Darth Vader left to make from the first book. I made the Salacious Crumb to go with Jabba too and they look great

Wonderful news and cannot wait to crochet these dolls! Any chance you can share a yarn color list so it's possible to be ready to go when the book comes out?

Hi Lucy, I'm loving these amigurumi! So adorable :) wanting a little project to make a few extra pennies from home and your Star Wars figures seem perfect! Would it be ok to crotchet some and sell them, crediting you for the pattern?

I can't wait for the book! Are you able to share photos before it comes out?

LucyRavenscar said...

Thanks for all your lovely comments!

tarazandra - I will sort out a list of the yarns I used a bit closer to the time it's due out.

crazycowemma - I'm generally fine with people making things from my patterns and selling them, as long as they credit me, but I don't own these patterns (they belong to the publisher), so I can't give permission.

candy - I'll have to check with the publisher, but I suspect I'll only be able to share photos around the time the book is released.

Thank you Lucy :) I received your first book today, made the Yoda doll in 3-3.5 hours. It is so adorable! Wish I could post a picture but not sure how... Can't wait to make more dolls and looking forward to your next book.

Thank you, I'm so pleased you're enjoying it!

Hello, I bought your Star Wars patterns and sell the dolls at craft fairs. I have had a complaint that I am breaking copyright laws ( for the character, not the pattern) - can you help clarify please - Yvonne

I am so excited - I just pre-ordered the kit on Amazon!
I have done everything from the first book except Darth Vader and I will get to him soon.
It does seem like forever until March - but at least I know that I will be getting it as soon as possible

Eeeeeek. ... I am so excited, I have already ordered my copy. Hopefully it will arrive soon after its released.

Hi. I have the first star wars book and am in the middle of making Yoda. The kit contained materials to make Yoda and a stormtrooper. How do I get materials to make the other characters?

LucyRavenscar said...

The yarn used in the kit was specially sourced and so isn't available to buy, but there are lots of good brands out there. I've written a blog post with a list of all the yarns I used for the Star Wars figures to give you an idea: http://lucyravenscar.blogspot.co.uk/2015/12/star-wars-crochet-yarn-used.html
You can get hold of stuffing and safety eyes at craft stores or online. Here's a useful list of suppliers for safety eyes: www.planetjune.com/eyesources

Thank you! Much appreciated! Looking forward to making more!

Insta-Buy! Actually, Insta-Pre-Order! Can't wait to make my own BB-8!

Jen Wilson said...

Hi, the Star Wars kit is great. One question though, whats the make of stuffing you use? Its really soft and doesn't clump at all so we'd like to get some more for the other characters, thanks.

LucyRavenscar said...

All the materials are sourced by the publishers in bulk, so I don't know if it's a brand that you could buy in the shops. I will ask though.

Karen said...

I wondered that too.
I took the chance and did the whole round in BLO.

Karen said...

Lucy I love the first book.
However I do have one big disappointment with the patterns. You don't list anywhere what yarn is used.

When buying new yarn and replicating the colours a yarn list would be wonderfully helpful.

The green I used for Yoda isn't available any more, but I've found a new colour that might work, Paintbox Pistachio Green, which you can get from LoveKnitting.com.

Hi Lucy. I've got this on pre-order via amazon. But just bought the first kit.
So I'm busy working on them. I was just wondering if you have a brand for the dark green shaded marl used on Boba please.

Hi Lucy,

I just wanted to say that I loved your first Star Wars book. I'd never even considered crocheting for a second until I saw it in a bookstore, and then my girlfriend got it for me several months later for Christmas. Now I've made the Stormtrooper and Yoda, and I'm working on C-3PO. I eagerly await the second book, as you've made a crocheter for life out of this 24 year old man.

Thanks!
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

That's brilliant! I love to hear of people being inspired to try crochet because of my Star Wars patterns. It goes to prove that it's always worth a try - congratulations!

All the best,

Lucy
