I'm very happy, after a certain amount of experimentation, with the wings. I managed to make them fairly stiff without using any wire or anything else apart from crochet and stuffing. I also tried out different eyes - they can be made with either safety eyes (ones with a slit rather than a round pupil look best, I think) or with round beads - the red Dragonet has clear glass ones.
If you want to make your own Dragonet, the pattern is for sale in my Etsy shop:

aw, its perfect! ive seen some cute OR realistic (can you say that with a mythical creature? lol) patterns for dragons but your pattern is both. im really excited to order this pattern and start whipping up a little flock of my own!
Thank you! That's just what I was going for, keeping it simple so the essential dragon shape came through, but not going cartoony. The nice thing about the stiffness of crochet is that it makes the neck and tail fairly poseable, which I think gives the dragonets a nice attitude.
beautiful pattern!!! I am way impressed, I am a fellow dragon lover so I am always happy to see more cool dragons. I made your other dragon, very very cool!!
Thanks! I love dragons - I have two of them made using my other pattern sitting on my computer desk. It's very hard to find cool dragon toys in the shops - they're usually more cutesy - so that's why I had to work out how to crochet them!
Terrific! This is an amigurumi masterpiece!!
Congrats!
Thank you!
is there a free pattern out there???
This pattern is for sale in my Etsy shop (see the link at the end of the post), but I do have another free dragon pattern. Look in the list of my free patterns to the right, and click on 'Slightly fierce but friendly really dragon'.
That is beautiful. I love all your patterns, but the dragonet is probably my favourite. Absolutely gorgeous.
How dare you be so talented!
Thanks Lime Cat, I really appreciate that!
